[REVIEW] a-JAYS One: Best Budget Earphones?

Hey guys, this is my first product review on LinusTechTips. I've been using the a-JAYS One for 4 weeks now, listened to all kinds of genres, used a couple different sources.  I haven't reviewed the a-JAYS One with a decent amp, but these are for portable use and listening to well recorded MP3 tracks. So If there are any questions/requests, I'll be happy to answer.

[build Quality And Packaging]

It is basically a soft touch plastic container where there is another housing  kept inside an outer shell. You will need to break the paper seal on top of the lock before you can open the package, guaranteeing that know has opened the packaging. These are possibly some of the best packaging for an IEM that is under 50 dollars.

Build quality is probably the best at its price class. There are no noticeable strain relief on the a-Jays. The flat cable does take stress just a little better than typical thin cable. However, the extra weight of the cable becomes a little annoying but eventually you get used to it. One of my complaints are the earbuds that come with it. The inner housing make it difficult to fit the earbuds in the earphone. In terms of isolation they are mediocre.

I've burnt in my a-Jays One with for roughly about 25 hours. One thing can be said is that the a-JAYS do not lack bass. In fact, it could be just a little too much bass if you're not a basshead. The sound signature of a-JAYS One is a warm with heavy bass. Bass reaches deep. Mids have a decently nice vocal. Treble are high but in a smooth fashion. Soundstage is average. Good for vocal and pop songs in general but if you're a fan of classical music I wouldn't bother with these.

[Conclusion]

JAYS has created IEM that are in good balance of price, performance, build quality. Plus, the bold design is a nice touch. So basically, if you want something around 40 bucks that looks stylish, bass heavy and sounds terrific, then these are for you.

You could argue that they look like a Beats By Dr Dre product mainly because of the flat cable design. But they are definitely not as pricy as Beats and probably don't have a similar sound signature. Normally I don't find myself enjoying IEMs under 35 dollar range but surprisingly the a-JAYS perform really nice in their price bracket. I would recommend them for anyone looking for budget IEMs.

I think I saw a kid in my school wearing these. I think I'll look into them because I am in need of some new in ears.

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.
