Does anyone get a feeling when laying this game?

A feeling that is hard to describe and interpret. Well I do. My feeling it is hard to describe but every time I play the game I get it. The feeling distracts me from the gameplay as it makes my mind wander and so my character does too. I spend more time exploring and looking at the steampunkish art than shooting enemies. Somehow this game has entwined historical themes, religious themes, race themes, revolutionary themes, and fighting. This is the combination that I believe creates this unnameable feeling I have. There are few games out there that will give me such a feeling!

What feeling do get from COD or Watch Dogs?

I believe that there should be more games such as Infinite, possibly by creating games like Infinite is how the gaming industry will recapture its audience who is clearly losing interest in some of the popular series and failing new ones. This game make me slip into virtual coma where all I think about is the game the environment and that feeling I so oddly have. This is what games should make games slip out of reality for a hour or two or maybe even more, not have players run around doing the same thing over and over and over or inspire competition. Maybe I feel this because I game for recreation and not as though its a job. I think new games that are made today fail or don't get greeted with amazing response is because they fail to do the above. These new games fail to provide cultural themes or use historic references.

I know that Infinite will be one my nostalgic childhood games that in a decade or maybe even two decades I will remember playing and maybe wishing that I could play it again.

Care to share your thoughts on whether this games gives you a feeling or not. Care to call me crazy or just comment on how you think games should make you feel and how they should make that feeling.

I haven't played that game. Is it good? Should I try? Also what feeling are you talking about? I had weird feeling when playing Stalker. All that background music & places & weather, whole atmosphere was amazing. I felt I was really in that world. Not anymore here. Does Bioshock has such strong atmosphere?

IMO as you can see, it has a really good environment. I would suggest you give it try, maybe not pay full price but if its $10 and you have $10 to spare it may be worth your time.

I'll look it in torrents first (pirated version), just have a look how good is game. If I like it, I'll buy it on Steam.
