Wired Controller, less durable?

Hi, I had a ps2 and had wired controller with it, and u know what, i always bought original controllers but still, i had to repair its WIRE more than twice a week, i dont know why but the wire always was damaged even though i did not roll up the wire on the controller, it just, damages by itself. So now i am going to buy a gaming pc and i want to buy an xbox 360 controller. so the question is wired or wireless. I do not care about the money. just tell me which is more durable, wired or wireless. and will THIS controller last more than the ps2 controllers? Please reply fast. Thanks a lot!

and one thing also, if my pc has wireless wifi card or bluetooth card, will I not need the adapter?

The wired 360 controller will work just fine on PC, but the wireless one will require a special PC adapter to work.

Years and years. There is always that 0.001% chance of getting a bad one, though.

That should give you a good answer as to how long it'll last.

PS2 controllers are unbreakable. It's a mystery how you broke it.
