My subwoofer sounds like it is bottoming out but the subwoofer is being underpowered, I have no clue what the problem is, the subwoofer is a Kicker Comp C10, its only getting about 200 watts, its max is 300 and its rms is 150, I dont know what the problem is, I have tried turning gain down and up, low pass is bottomed out, bass boost is off, my sub sounds AWFUL. I ported my box and it helped a TINY bit. Another good thing to mention is the vehicle this is going in is a 2000 Regular Cab Ford Ranger, I am working with MANY space restrictions.

Have you tried it on an amp with proper power? Not specifically a car amp just a regular that properly powers it.

Can just be your amp is too underpowered to reach the min spec the sub wants.

That or its either actually garbage or broken.

Did you build the box yourself? Is the box the correct volume for that specific sub?

The sub is a kicker comp C10, RMS 150 Watts, Max 300 Watts, its a single voice coil 4 ohm and my amp is a 200 watt rms at 4 ohm Monoblock from Rockville, I believe the amp is just trash
