So, we are building a new gaming pc for 1080p . The max budget is at 1000 euros (I'm in Greece so it's euros). For CPU is it better to go for 7600x or 5700x3d or i5 13600k. All three are at similar price (roughly 220 - 250).

The rest of the system is roughly the same. For either motherboard the cost will be 150-170 euros.

The GPU will be an RX 7600 for 290 euros (the rtx 4060 costs 360 but I think it's even worse than the 7600 but I might be wrong)

So all three cpu have good gaming performance and similar price. Which one would be best for a new build??

Sounds like a ChatGPT response ... but in this case I'm also of the opinion that socket AM4 is probably your best option in that budget.

The 5700x3d would work even on a 80 eur motherboard, you don't need a 150 eur one.

For example, MSI B550M PRO-VDH  is around 85 EUR here in Romania, with VAT included, and would work perfectly fine with the 5700x3D ... it's just a big weak when it comes to the number of USB ports on the IO shield, and has an old ALC897 audio and only gigabit lan..

ASRock B550M Pro4 at around 95 eur adds the usb ports and has newer onboard audio and better vrm and it's perfectly adequate

I'd try as hard as possible to go for a video card with at least 12 GB VRAM to last you a longer time until you have to upgrade again.

For your new gaming PC focused on 1080p performance within a budget of 1000 euros, the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D is likely the best choice due to its excellent gaming performance stemming from its large L3 cache, which benefits frame rates in many titles. The Intel Core i5-13600K is also a fantastic option, offering strong gaming and multitasking performance thanks to its hybrid architecture. The AMD Ryzen 5 7600X is viable but may lag slightly behind in gaming compared to the other two. Ultimately, if gaming is your primary focus, go with the 5700X3D; if you need balanced performance for gaming and other tasks, consider the i5-13600K.

chat gpt much? 😮

Go with a modern platform, out of the three listed, AM5 would be where I would head.

AMD R9 9900X | Thermalright FW Pro Black, 3x TL-B12E | Asus Strix X670E -F | 64GB G.Skill 6000C26
Zotac 4070 Ti Trinity OC | WD SN850, SN850X, 2x SN770 | Seasonic Vertex GX-1000 | ProArt PA602
Adcom GFP-345, Adcom GFA-555, S.M.S.L D1+PS100, Cerwin-Vega! CLSC-15, Monster HDP-1800

I would agree if I could find a reasonable B550 for 100 euros. Even the MSI one, here in Greece is 120-125 euros and the ASRock is similar price. So I am not sure if it's worth to save like 30-50 euros and get the AM4 or spend that money and get AM5 with DDR5 so it will be more easy to upgrade.

As for the GPU unless the rtx 3060 can have similar or better performance than the RX 7600 8GB

Clocks 100MHz lower and doesn't have integrated graphics and usually costs quite a bit less.

The difference in price is quite big compared to the difference in perfomance.  Thank you for the info.

Well... If you buy 7000 now, you can upgrade to 11000 later.

7500F is a 65W chip, and the 7600X is a 105W chip. There is a small gap in gaming performance there... This video tests with a 4090 and 1080p:
But the gap from 6 cores to 8 cores is much more significant.

If you do not plan on upgrading, I would rather want the 7700X and save a bit longer for more budget.
But if you plan on upgrading, I would grab the 7500F to stay within budget.
