I'm considering getting the Samsung Neo G9 DUHD, but it's over 1 year old model, it doesn't have USB-C Displayport and it's micro LED and not OLED.
There is a sale on it for 25% off, should I get it or are they likely to bring out a OLED model by January 2025 when I expect to upgrade my PC?

Are you referring to the 49" or 57"? The 49" 5120x1440 has an OLED model, the G9 OLED.  7680x2160 OLED isn't really on anyone's radar at the moment (referencing Samsung and LG's roadmaps looking into 2025 and beyond)

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -  Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

@Marvin_The_Robot have you got your monitor yet? I am now on my second panel of 57'' mini-led, soon to be third because of the dead pixels. If you get it make sure you check for dead pixels EVERYDAY. And get an extended warranty! Good lord I've got myself an extended warranty for 2yrs past the og warranty with Samsung. And make sure you register your product on Samsung. I hope the third panel is the last panel for good.

Thanks for giving us yet another example on why we should avoid Samsung monitors.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
