my internet is weird

i was watching youtube, then it wouldn't load, i used speed test, and i got 1mbps. five minutes later i tried youtube and it worked fine, i tried spped test then, and i got 26 mbps. my internet is weird.

Nice internet n00b. Have you tried toggling it?

 

Either that or your ISP just had a huge hiccup

it was provably the isp failing for a few minutes. this happens to me every few days, but then it goes back up to good speed.

My parents had this issue for years, Charter kept saying it was my parent's routers fault not playing nice with Charter's modem... they tried a different router, no change, and then another, no change. I decided it was Charter not wanting to fix their issues and blame it on my parent's equipment as a scapegoat.

 

Then I got Charter at my house, used a different router than any my parent's have tried and didn't have any issues... swapped routers with my parent's and I had issues and they didn't, so maybe Charter was right. My parent's went a bought a Netgear N750, I had a TPLink N600 which is a clone of the Netgear N600, so I assumed the N750 would work and it did. They haven't had issues for a year now. 

 

TLDR: Try a different router.

i also use charter :o but i can'y change the router, i am 14, so i can't buy a new one (i can't afford it and my parents wouldn't let me).
