I have a download speed of 63.4 mbps an upload speed of 14.1 mbps. My WiFi router is roughly 50 feet(15m) away through one floor and multiple walls. Should I get another router to have by my PC connected via ethernet cable? Please let me know your answers and why as well as if you need any more information.

Why do you need another router to connect via Ethernet? You just run a cable from your current router.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

With the location of my current router I cannot run an ethernet cable.

How were you going to connect the other router so you had Ethernet connection?

my plan is to add the new router to the network but put it in a location that it can connect via Ethernet

So let me get this straight. You're going to buy a new router and connect it to your current router via Ethernet. Then run a Ethernet cable from the new router to your PC?

Almost. I am going to get a new router that connects with either my modem or the old router wirelessly. That new router will be next to my PC and will connect with it via ethernet. My knowledge in this area is lacking so please let me know if that makes sense.

Running an ethernet cable to a second router and then to your PC is unnecessarily complex and inefficient. A second router adds potential issues like Double NAT and complicates network management without providing significant benefits for a single wired connection. Instead, a direct ethernet connection from the main router to your PC would be more efficient. If distance is an issue, simpler solutions like Powerline adapters or a WiFi extender with an ethernet port would achieve the same result without the hassle of managing multiple routers.

Well the fact is your PC is still connected to WiFi. So you likely will still have some issues due to WiFi being WiFi.

Also I dont think most routers will connect to the WIFi of another. While I know some 3rd party firmwares can add this feature. And routers from ASUS for example has an AI Mesh feature to allow you to make a mesh network but this features wont work with other routers.

Thats only exist if the OP wants to connect the second router via Ethernet to the first and connects to the second routers WAN port. The OP wants to connect the second router via WiFi. Which exists on the LAN side of the connection.
