Budget (including currency): USD 800-900

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High refresh CS2 + 60FPS AAA games. Light ML work

Other details: Building new. Already have all peripherals. Would strongly prefer buying everything new.

This is the tentative build so far, looking to see tweaks needed or looks good

  • SSD is free with the 5700x3d, so the CPU+RAM+(free)SSD combo is $259 at Newegg
  • At least 32G memory is a must
  • Will get the wood front version of the case, I like the look and the wood panel would match my desk nicely

I have a kind of unusual monitor situation since I've got an LG C4 TV that also doubles as my monitor, but I think 3060 should be able to manage 4K/60 with DLSS and reasonable settings?

main upgrades are the psu and gpu which are now an nzxt c750 (10$ cheaper + retains a 10 year warranty) and a 3080 which can be found used for ~350$ but abit of haggling and you can lower the prices abit

also a slight upgrade to the cooler alongside a cost cut on the board since the 5700x3d doesnt exactly draw that much power

Hmm, I see your point, but personally I would much rather have the peace of mind of buying new.

The thing is, as long as the GPU works when you bought it, it will also work just fine after, there's basically 0 risk if you test the GPU before buying at the buyers place, got my 6950xt for cheap this way
