I like my blacks, they're heavy enough to not get accidental presses, relatively quiet and very smooth.

Seriously, I have Red, Blue and Black switch KB's, best for typing would be the Blue......but for gaming, Black and Red are better for me. From my use of the KB's, Black is great for games, and I make less accidental typos than with Red.....so, Black gets my vote. Double tapping on Red and Black is easier than on Blue, can't comment about Brown though. As usual, it all boils down to preference....

TBH, I love using my blues for everyday use, gaming and typing included.

I'm using a G710+ from Logitech. It uses MX Brown's and I am very satisfied with it. I cannot stand this loud clicking noise the MX Blue do and so Browns were a nice compromise.

Due to the popularity of Browns, I have decided and have gotten a Filco Majestouch Ninja Brown to try out, definitely non-clicky with a good tactile feel. Will put it thru its paces before deciding if I like Brown as well.

I got a Filco majestouch 2 tenkeyless with brown switches the other day. So far so good  :P

Very nice board, beem playing UT3 and I find it to be pretty good, somehow, I can't define it, it feels as good as my Red and Black when it comes to gaming. Again, this is all so subjective, but from the  brief gaming I've had, it's better than Blue for games (I can't stress enough how subjective this is) and just a smidgen below Red and Black for games. Very solidly built and high quality KB, I can see why many choose either a Ducky or a Filco in my neck of the woods.

Blue switches are obnoxiously loud but they are the best to type on. Browns are a bit quieter and are a good compromise if you want softer typing experience. I personally use blacks but that's a preference.

I thought I would like the blue best, but when I actually went to a store and tried machanical keyboards for the first time, everything changed.

 

I just recently began to notice the hype about these type of keyboards and wanted to buy one, so based on online reviews I was going to buy Razer Black Widows Ultimate 2013, that looked awsome and had those blue keys everyone loves. And it would go well with my Razer Naga epic.

 

But when I went to the store and tried it and many other boards, I found out that I could not live with the noice the blue´s made. Well mabye I could get used to it, but I know that others around me would not dig it.....hehe.

 

So I bought Corsair K90 with red´s and I absolutly love it. Looks great and feels great to game on it and typing is a breath of fresh air and a good compromise to the blues. Makes very little noice.

 

I didn´t like the browns on the 710+.......and it´s ugly as hell!!!

That's why, when it comes to switches, a lot depends on personal preference.  So far, I like Red, Black and Brown for gaming, Blue's great for typing.....not so much for gaming, for me anyway. Just played a few more rounds of UT3 with the Filco, the Brown is pretty nice.....good tactile feel, not the same as Blues though, and none of the clickety-click. I can see why Brown is fast becoming a fave amongst mech users....but, my heart's still set on Red and Black.

You might find it ugly as hell, and I like it. That's the never ending argument. 

Some people like stuff that other people don't :P
