Not to be confused with the PB278Q... cmon guys, these model names are getting a bit out of hand.

when you search for the 287 on amazon you just get the 278 :/

ASUS......we need the swift....stop screwing around!!

I'm also patiently waiting for the Swift but now that Acer has announced a 4K I'm starting to have doubts...

If you guys were to choose between a 4K monitor with G-sync, and the Swift, which one would you pick?

I would go with the swift. 4K doesn't tickle my fancy with all the scaling issues that it seems to have. Also I want to push my hardware but still be able to play some games.......4K would melt my single GTX780 lol

Maybe a bit of an arb question, but, how does it look at 1440p? I can see even with a Sli 780Ti or more I can see needing to drop resolution to play certain games....

Hi I hope this isn't too dumb a question but I'm thinking of getting this monitor and I would use it with both my PC and my xbox one I would use the display port with my PC for 4k 60hz and the hdmi 1.4 with my xbox one. Question is can I use my xbox one up scaled from 1080p to 1440p instead of 4k? And if so would it still run at 60hz?

No it would not be upscaled, the max resolution an xbox one can output is 1080p.

It´s definitly a good monitor. If you have the hardware to game in 4K it´s definitly worth it.

This is my dilemma as well.  However my new rig will start with only one GPU, so will I really be experiencing the major benefits of 144Hz 1440p?  On the other hand, will I be able to push 4K on one GPU?

However, I could get the PB287Q and game at 1440p 60Hz, and just do 4K when it's doable or if I upgrade later, as opposed to losing a ton of value in the Swift when nobody cares about it in 2-3 years.

I think this is the best: http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/press/2014/77934
