So, am trying to fix a solar panel mount for a ring camera whose cable broke THE DAY I GOT IT. And so, l'm going to replace the cable, but the problem is that I have a donor cable with 2 wires/ 2 pin and one that has 4 wires/ 4 pin, but for some reason, the cable inside of it has 3 wires?!?!?!?!?!? Is this a normal thing??? Also how the hell do I wire it???

Positive, negative, ground if I had to guess. Strip the black sheath and match the colors.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I thought the black was ground? Also normal micro usb's have either just have the black and red for power or that plus a green and a white wire for data + and -, so where do I connect the ground to?

On your damaged device, black is most likely ground, red is most likely +, and blue is most likely -. This is the industry standard.

USB 2.0 should have black for ground per that standard as well, but you can always grab a multimeter and check.
