My i5-3570k oc to 4.2 ghz gets 50c on standby and 70c on load. Is that ok?

good temps, maybe a little high on idle, but still fine. What's your cooler?

Stock lol

ok, what's your vcore? and what is the fan speed under load?

On cpuid hw monitor, cpu fan is always 100% and vid is 1.251V

1.25V is quite a lot for a stock cooler, that explains the high idle temps. I'm surprised you're not getting much higher load temps... what do you stress test with?

I haven't done a proper stress test on my computer.

Personally I would not be overclocking with the stock cooler, especially as aftermarket air cooling is so cheap or even an AIO water cooler. But with those temps arent bad and should not have a detrimental effect on your cpu. Are you sure that is as hot as it is getting under load?

aaah OK, I assume you where talking gaming loads, then. In that case I'd probably stay away from stress tests (includes things like rendering) as you'll likely hit 100°C with the stock cooler @1.25V. Either lower the voltage or get a better cooler. The hyper 212 is dirt cheap and will tremendously improve your temps, for example.
