Hello LTTer's I was wondering what the max safe voltage for a 3570k would be, Its under a h80i and currently at 4.5ghz and i want to push it upto 5ghz.

The voltage to get me to that OC is currently 1.320v fully stable, had it for around 3 months right now and hasnt crashed once. Im wondering how much further i can push my chip. Thanks!

I am a happy wuffy

I doubt it'll see 5GHz but try increasing the multiplier a little more and see what you get without increasing teh voltage, since it is an Ivy Bridge chip I wouldn't go any higher on the voltage because the temps will get out of control.

Anything near to 1.4v is dangerous unless you have a custom loop or phase change. LN2 is also an option :)

currently under gaming load 65*c

thanks, i've got i5 4670k and an h80i and was thinking of putting mine up to 4.5ghz and the 3570k temps are basicly the same as 4670k.

Eeehm 4670k is haswell

Mine is already OCed to 4.2ghz and runs at about 45°C under heavy gaming on an h80i. It obviously isnt bad for overcloking or temperatures is it.
