Would love an LTT screwdriver but far to expensive to buy from lttstore.com due to tax and shipping fees, so I found this one. Is it the real thing?

@C2dan88 Some Merch was FBA (years ago). This looks to be from Amz directly so likely it is genuine.

The Declaration of Independence, once the charter of democracy, begins by saying that certain things are self-evident. If we were to trace the history of the American mind from Thomas Jefferson to William James, we should find that fewer and fewer things were self-evident, until at last hardly anything is self-evident.  it's real, the seller information is:

image.png.2258aeb067da743f7aca6a0045f0075d.png

They also have other products on the storefront https://www.amazon.com/s?me=A2Y23KYE4NAGGJ&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Also I vaguely recall linus mentioning this on the WAN Show in the past at some point

Worst case scenario I can get a refund though, so I guess I could see if it is real

Interesting! The price difference isn't huge compared to buying it directly from the LTT store.

Buying the screwdriver on amazon costs £73.50 in the UK.

Directly from the LTT store, with shipping and taxes, works out at about £83.50 so you save about £10 on the LTT store price.

The breakdown from the LTT store is $105.58 USD total, with $69.99 for the screwdriver, $17.99 shipping and $17.60 tax.

So if we assume that the RRP is the same, and the tax is the same, that makes amazons "handling" (unlisted shipping fees added?) $5.29.

I know Linus always points out how expensive international shipping is on the WAN show. If this is a genuine LTT product, I think the fact that using a giant company like amazon with its own distribution network can only shave £10 off the total price reflects pretty well on LTTs setup (of course the cost might also be higher than it could be on amazon to help LTT absorb some of their fees).

Yeah true, it seems to be the price you'd expect, but one review mentions the screw compartment fell out so I'm not sure

It's 100% legit. LTT has been selling items on Amazon for some years now. Linus had stated a few times on Wan Show, that they sell more popular items, because some people refuse to purchase directly from LTT due to shipping costs, logistics and whatnot and it is more convenient for them to buy from Amazon. Found a clip, that actually shows that LTT retails on Amazon.

AFAIK its legit. Seller is Amazon US which means they are importing it from US warehouse to UK warehouse. Which again means cheaper costs compared to what it would cost if you import them individually.

No visit the store on amazon its filled with fake ltt stuff that they don't even sell.  @LogicalDrm take a look at the their store from OPs link here:

I saw that, I just wasn't sure if it was Amazon being weird and showing related products instead of LTT's

I think you are mistaking BRAND with STORE.

As this is sold by Amazon, there is no STORE button, only BRAND. If you click it you just search everything with the LINUS TECH TIPS in the title, that is why you get all the bizarre products.

I think I will drop this mentions: @Adam Pilolla @LMGcommunity

so we may find out from the source.

I have no idea what you are talking about. If I click brand (on mobile though), it shows only screwdriver first and then just other stuff that's not even advertised as LTT. If I click store, it's literally all US import items listed.

"Sold by" is store/seller. That's usually good to check for knowing whether it's marketplace item or direct from Amazon. You can see storefront from sellers details.

Hi all,

At this time we only have Amazon storefronts in Canada and the US. Some US product listings do appear on UK Amazon, but like on lttstore you'd need to import those purchases.

Need help with an lttstore order? Contact us or check out our FAQ here.

Good to know, so would the price on Amazon be the final price or would there be customs clearences as well?

You can find all the details about ordering from Amazon directly from Amazon.
