Hi Looking at the AMD Ryzen 5600x and also looking at the graphics card which is Raden RX 5700 but every time I find a graphics card it says a bottle necking or there some times it says no bottle necking in graphics card intense tasks.

Is there a easy way of finding a graphics card without the hassle of keeping checking it if it's compatible with my CPU.

Also iam on a budget don't want to spend loads looking at refurbished parts.

Thanks for any repliesScreenshot_20240622-121538.thumb.png.5803a5ab85c7f3f06bf51eae358e667d.pngScreenshot_20240622-121642.thumb.png.345c591155c8b3803407d3e03ef582d0.png

Don't even waste your time visiting those "bottleneck calculator" type websites. They're garbage and misleading.

Just pick the card that offers the best performance within your budget.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

just look at reviews or something for more accurate perf numbers and the actual capabilities of the cpu

and if your cpu is bottlenecking the gpu then theres 1 simple solution, just crank the settings and resolution and boom problem solved

theres a reason why cpu reviews/benchmarks run really low settings and resolutions in games

@Needfuldoer @MiszS @Spotty @Somerandomtechyboi Hi and Thanks for replying the bottle necking calculator is so confusing I have some computer knowledge and building my first pc on refurbished parts.

Thing that confuses me is the CPU and the GPU bottle necking calculator don't want to go crazy on CPU and don't want to crazy on graphics cards but feel like IAM chasing the one or the other.

Looking at AMD CPU but I feel if I switch too intel I will be chasing the graphics card or CPU again.

there is no perfect balance,

something will always be slower, even if you get fastest components possible, something will be slower anyway,

just get reasonable balance, 5600 + good GPU is reasonable budget balance,

what are you trying to do on the PC? what games are you trying to play?

Then for example, regardless of the GPU at first, you can look up Ryzen 5600X + GAME NAME on Youtube.

See what the CPU can drive from the game with a more powerful GPU (so the CPU is the limiting factor, and you have a good FPS value to work with)

Then look up the GPU in those games and see how it matches what the CPU can provide (given it isn't bottlenecked by a worse CPU)

If the CPU can provide frames you are happy with, then so be it, CPU draws everything, GPU paints everything, find out what EACH (5600X/5700) can do in the Games ou plan on playing.

And forever more, NEVER use calculators on websites, they are complete garbage and don't account for MANY factors, or all games.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Ryzen 5600 and a card on the level of a RX 5700 are perfectly fine for 1080p, there is no bottleneck to be worried about.

You can see that very clearly in this video (RX 6600 is equivalent in performance to the RX 5700):
