I am in the same boat here only my budget is a little less. I have being looking around for a bit and OCZ, Intel, Kingston and Samsung seem to be very popular and at very competitive prices.

Kingston Hyper X 3K 120GB seems to be a good choice.

1) It's kingston

2) Its rather cheap for what it is

3) Its fast as anything

I would get a Crucial M4 or the Samsung 840 SSD as your first SSD.

I'd recommend:

Best price yet still good speeds and reliability

1) Crucial M4 128GB

2) Samsung 840 120GB (non pro)

Best Performance

1) Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

2) Plextor M5 Pro 128GB

Honestly though, just about any SSD is gonna be good. If you've got the budget, get yourself one of the more expensive ones.

I have personally a Crucial M4 128GB (In my gaming machine), Samsung 840 (non pro - in my HTPC) 120GB, and ADATA SX900 60GB (In my server). They're all fantastic, and super quick.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

you really cant go wrong with the samsung 840 series as your first ssd, i installed over 20 of them this your and they all work like a charm.

pro or non pro is up to you, pro is faster but you only notice it if your copying from one ssd to another. apart from that they are mostly the same.

personally i go for the pro for my own pc´s and i use the non pro for other people, but that's only because im a prosumer and the other guys are normal consumers so they don´s strain the SSD´s as much as i do.
