I wasn't sure if I should put this in GPUs or the cooling section, but here it is.

I'm running two GTX 770s in SLI. When under heavy load, one GPU is reaching 75 C while the other is getting up to 90 ish C, due to having next to no room to breathe. I have two questions.

Firstly. Is a temperature in the 90s even safe for my GPU in the long run? Also, is there a reasonably cheap liquid cooling solution available? I've already got a H100i for my cpu so I dont really want a custom loop. Would the Kraken G10 + cooler be my best/cheapest option if I wanted to go AOI for my GPUs? Thanks!

no it's not safe specially for a nVidia GPU, and it isn't also on the long run

get better airflow case or a larger case to give it some breathing room, switch to a test bench, or do the most extreme solution, as you said, go for a custom loop, so juet get a kraken or koolance water blocks for em with a powerful pump, water cooling em will be the best bet

come on Recon, if it was a AMD GPU, huum yes, you could say that, but for nVidia, even for Kepler based GPU, it's dangerous, specially for the long run as he stated

No, silicon starts to get toasty at 110cc, 90c is painless for a GPU, but you may not like the heat dump, GPU's are far stronger than you think, usually the power deilvery will collapse before the main GPU does.

90c is perfectly fine, Kepler is a variant of Fermi with less per clock horsepower.

90c is the absolute maximum temperature for those cards. Usually the profiles in GPU boost 2.0 set 80c as the max

if you run your cards at 90c you can expect them to last less than 2 years.

Set by Nvidia, they can do more than that safely.

Really you do not need any kind of AIO on a GPU, i suggest you look at this:

Out of stock atr Scan, but they are amazing coolers, it is what cooled my 480's back in the day, look above for temps...

The max temp on the NVidia site is 98 C, so I think i'm okay, though I think I might still get some extra cooling going (because I can't help but want to mod my rig).

No evidence of it shortening life span at all, voltage does however.

Wont this run into the exact same problem I have now though? My top card cannot get any air due to being so close to the bottom card. So getting another fan cooling option will be exactly the same as I have now.

two seperate ones i think, but i believe that for a dual Graphics cards config, if not a custom loop, i would prefer to have it on the motherboard box than have it hitting ludachrisly temps, that's what i did for a month when i first built my rig and din't have my test bench delivered yet,

Your card is significantly more efficient than a GTX 480, and even 480's were cooled massively.

Do you have room for 2x almost 3 slot GPU coolers, as long as you have more space than i did, you will be minted.
