How low are you trying to get it?

What's the system being used for?

..is the optical drive really necessary?

The h105 for the gpu is just silly. Even the H55 is already more than enough for cooling any single gpu. --I also don't see the point in getting a 780 lightning only to replace the cooler with a kraken g10.

Around 1500-1700$, and it is a gaming rig.

Go for a cheaper motherboard, cooling, GPU, case and peripherals, then mod your way into yellow and black. MSI Lighting stuff is awesome, but really expensive. Getting more basic stuff, removing the stickers and adding some leds is going to get you decent looks, lower prices and the same performance.

Don't think you'll be able to keep everything you wanted: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3QGB3

Is it at all doable? Sure: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3QGS6

Replace H55 and 212 Evo fans with Akasas. Replace Kraken G10 fan with SilenX.

You aren't going to be able to keep all of those colors at the price you want.  Here is a build that will perform the exact same, at a much lower price, with a red/black scheme.  You will have to select a new mouse.

i5, use price match on Staples.com to get it for $189.

Hyper 212 EVO, don't waste money on an expensive cooler until you know how good of an overclocking chip you have.

motherboard, get a less expensive Z97 motherboard, can be found for $130 or less.

Less expensive, and better RAM.

Asus GTX 780, arguably one of the best 780s because of its cooling and backplate out of the box.

Less expensive case

Less expensive PSU

Different keyboard

You will have to find a different mouse

Superlux HD681 Headphones, these things are incredible for only $30, try and find a bad review on these.  You can buy a microphone + stand for $5 from any radioshack.  Getting headphones + microphone separately will give you much better results, and less expensive.

Red/black is far too common doe.

I know, but he seems to want a color theme...  I personally don't care about color themes when I do my builds, I just want the best performing parts for the money.

Getting color coordinated parts, especially ones that aren't red/black cost a lot more.  You saw the build he originally created, something like $2,200 for yellow/black that will perform the same as black/red just because those are the only components with those colors.

red/black screams ROG which is what i really hate about all the red and black builds.
