What to do aafter upgrading Motherboard and CPU

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

A full windows WIPE and reinstall.

There will always be garbage floating around from the previous set of hardware and that tends to cause problems in te medium to long run basically always. Short term you can sometimes see it too.

Hi im upgrading my ryzen 3600XT to an 7800x3D and since nothing is really the same except the graphics and SSD's what should i do after changing the parts like drivers software wise, removing all the drivers related to the motherboard (and how)?, reinstalling windows. what will i need to change?

Let windows do its thing, then I would recommend checking with a manual update for drivers after the WHQL version.

A 5700X3D or 5800X3D would have been probably the better option costwise.

ye but i was trying to future proof a bit more, if the 5800x3D keeps fighting against new cpu the 7800x3D (in theory at least) will live longer and in 2 years maybe i plan to upgrade to a 50 series
