Neither, get a B650e at the most and a 7800x3D instead.

I use the ASUS TUF B650 PLUS WIFI with my own 7700x and its been rock solid since september 2022.

I have personally used the MSI B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI and the 'Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX' with in multuple AM5 builds without issues, even with the highest end 7950X3D.

I personally have a X670e Aorus Master and B650-I Aorus Ultra.

If I had to choose a B650/e board in 2024 though, I'd look at the rear I/O and price primarily. If you do go with a 7800x3D instead (which you should if you haven't already bought a 7700x) then it really won't matter since its at most a 120W CPU. The 7950x3D is even max 150W so there's even A620 motherboards that can run it no problem.

Example:

ASUS TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI AMD B650 AM5 ATX motherboard, DDR5, 8+2 teamed power stages, PCIe 5.0, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, Realtek 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, HDMI, DisplayPort, front USB 20Gbps Type-C - Newegg.com

Ryzen 7950x3D Direct Die NH-D15

RTX 4090 @133%/+230/+500

Is there a point to buy x670e for the long term?

For Sole reason i want an E atx board for my 7000d airflow but ir seems x670/x670E seems to be no diferent to b650e

I really like motherboards with great comectivity AND good amount off usbs mosfets, ven,m.2 etc

No not really. I plan on keeping my B650 TUF for a long time with the Ryzen 9800X3D whenever that comes out. I don't feel like I am missing out by overspending on a motherboard. The 3 motherboards I mentioned have more than enough VRM cooling even for the highest end Ryzen CPUs.

No need to buy a $400+ motherboard when half that will get you a more than good enough motherboard even for longevity.

Here is a lengthy but good video by Hardware Unboxed where Steve goes through 35 B650's and shows the features side by side

I am sure you will find what you need in some of the B650 motherboards 🙂

I will put a link to the written article below the video.

specify what you actually need as even a b650m hdv will suffice for most ppl (vrms will handle an overclocked 7950x, 14 usb a + 2 usb c, ddr5 10000+ capability)

if you want a beefy board whilst still being at a resonable price theres the b650 livemixer (21 usb a + 2 usb c) and the b650e taichi lite (17 usb a + 2 usb c but 13 of em are usb 3 and rear usb4 type c, alongside postcode and eclk for overclocking x3d)

its true that i have a 7700x cpu. But i really would like a x670E for longevity ( to posible upgrade in the future to a better ryzen/am5 cpu). Like i said in the title. Something between x670E E gaming or x670E aorus master

By the way. Asus did solve the ram and cpu soc voltages problem ?

I'd only go for X670 if I really needed I/O that's only on them. I wanted USB4 but oh wow is it lacking on boards and not all of them even offer it but cost a ton.
