No Audio on my ASUS TravelMate B117 - Ubuntu 22.04

Hi,

I have an ACER TravelMate B117 laptop. There used to be kubuntu on it. Suddenly the audio wasn't working anymore. I couldn't solve the problem in any way. I installed Debian, then Ubuntu, hoping I would find more answers to my problem. I did with ubuntu. None worked.

Does anybody have any idea about what I could do? There just is no audio. Everything else works fine.

Maybe another issue is that every now and then I see a No Bootable Device message when I turn on my computer. So I have to access the BIOS and switch from UEFI to Legacy and it starts working again. Always without audio.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums!
It seems like either your audio driver got bugged, in which case you'll have to reinstall

or your hardware is failing and it's irreparable

Can you see the audio device in Ubuntu? HardInfo might be a useful tool for that
