hard pass because its 2nd gen intel + proprietary un upgradable optiplex and you can build a proper 3rd/4th gen system for the same price with all used parts which would be upgradable and better specd

what country btw? i assume somewhere in europe judging by the screenies and afaik most european countries are developed so this kinda stuff should be dirt cheap used or you can find em on ewaste recycling centers or something like that

For office use yes, for gaming not good.

Why for gaming isnt good?

Not too upgradable and too slow:

The best cpu in that socket is an i7-4770 which is...well...decent but not that good tbh

The case is fully SFF (Small Form Factor) which means no rtx 4090 for you, and actually it uses low profile type of graphics cards, and for an rtx 4090, you would need a bigger wattage power supply, in which your case is like 240-250-260w which isnt enough...not even for a low profile rtx 4060.

For that money...at least buy a big form factor computer, or just save up more if you are patient enough.

I live in noway and I don't think we have ewaste centers, also I'm thinking more ultra budget. The reason I'm asking is because I hear people are buying opti plexes and putting in a GPU, for a good budget PC

Well, gtx 1050 ti, gtx 1650, recently (wouldnt recommend, bad price) rtx 3050 6gb, rx 6400 and the list goes more, of course all i mentioned have low profile variants.

I had a machine like this a while ago and learned my lesson that nothing that says i3 or i5 means good performance lol

That PC is about 12 years old, and because it's a small form factor prebuilt your upgrade options are very limited. I wouldn't pay anywhere near $80 for it.

if you want to tinker with an Optiplex for gaming, get a full tower with at least a 4th or 6th generation Intel CPU.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

Well if you wanna game, i still wouldnt recommend optiplexes, they are made more for office work, and they are just bad at being upgraded in general.

it's really not worth buying. even if you pair it with like a 5700xt or a gtx 1080. that's a 2nd gen i5 with 8 gigs of ram and 180gb of storage. i'm sure you can find better deals on haswell machines. or at least an i7 since its got hyperthreading. like, unless it's literally just to have a basic pc for some office software, you should really look to something better. the price is kinda meh.

"stick in a gpu, upgrade the psu and get an adapter cable" is really not for the 'ultra budget option' imo. office computers are ok for pulling parts or acting as a base but really hard to change to do anything demanding. + a lot of sellers tend to overstate their value.

Nope, that's LGA1150. The 2500 is LGA1155.

This is the type of PC you give away to someone in need, it's not worth any amount of money and just barely has some usefulness left.
