MSI M-Flash Bios Question

Hello everyone, my friend is trying to update the bios on there MSI Z590 Plus motherboard.

 

They got to M-flash but there monitors are just black, nothing happening.

 

We haven't started the bios update as we've not selected any file due to monitors not working obviously.

 

Is it safe to reboot in this state? Or is there a way we can exit out?

Shouldn't be a problem to restart. Its once you start flashing that you don't want to restart or power down typically.
