is this common with the retro screwdriver?

i bought the retro screwdriver for my birthday got it on sat. when i opened the box it didn't have the ring between the ratchet sector and the handle dose this happen a lot.

thank love my vtc karmbit and the q tip is for my mouse it a razer wireless was cleaning the contact to charge when i got the screwdriver
