Budget: $1000 / $1500ish USD

Country: USA

Usage: Video Games, school work, editing photos

If anyone has any component recommendations for a $1000 - $1500 gaming PC it would be greatly appreciated. I’m planning on buying in a month or two but I’m willing to buy sooner / earlier if needed. I already have peripherals and a 1080p 144 hertz monitor from my previous setup with my Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop so that doesn’t need to be included in the budget (I know around this price range it’s worth investing in a 1440p monitor and I’ll probably upgrade that in the future).

Yeah about what I'd recommend, just that the AIO is overkill, AK620 would be just fine

I'll configure you something. Which games do you play the most? If I optimize the build for 1440p, how long will it be till you get a 1440p monitor?

Quite a good system for a 1080p high refresh, well capable of 1080p 144Hz+.

I would reconfigure it to better match 1440p gaming - a Ryzen 7500F or 7700, 6000 MHz RAM, a $50 AIR cooler like a Pearless Assassin 120 and a Radeon RX 7800XT or 7900 GRE.

I play games like MW2 and GTA, I’d most likely get a 1440p monitor this summer around July but I might end up getting it earlier than that, maybe a month or so sooner.

Thank you for your suggestions this is really helpful!

I would avoid a Gigabyte GPU, their recent generations have issues with a weak PCB near the PCI-E socket, they tend to develop cracks and Gigabyte does not accept those as valid warranty claims.

this is overbudget and the motherboard and psu are sub par but it's got a 7900 XT and a 7800X3D. Have you got a microcenter nearby?
