Upgrade or water cooling

I'm at a fun a crossroad. Microcenter has a deal for a 12600kf/z690/32gb ddr4 for $250. I'm currently on a 9600k/ z390/ 32gb ddr4 2070super. I don't have any issues playing my games at 1440, nor any other performance problems. 

But I feel like this deal is a solid upgrade. The other option is to spend 250 on some custom water cooling and learning on my current set up.

What thoughts do we all have?

Go for the deal. A 12600K is a significant upgrade over your current CPU and allows for more FPS and/or higher settings for your games. A water cooler on your current CPU just doesn't offer the same performance boost.
