Trouble with BeQuiet 700RGB Case Front LED Strips...

Keith75

I got this case and have had some strange things happening with the fan controller. First I hook the PWM wire on the fan controller to my MB and it immediately starts smoking and melts one of the wires before I can pull it back off. I simply don't use it for the fans and just hook them straight to the MB headers and they work fine. I also notice that the front LEDS are cyan at the top part of the case and then as they go down the front and at the bottom they are white. I try pressing the front LED button for 3, 6, and even 10 seconds, but it has no effect. Nothing I do changes or affects the front panel LEDs. BeQuiet sent me a new fan controller, but after hooking it up, I am still not able to control the LEDs. Any thoughts????

They have decent customer support. Did you ask?

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.

My phone's auto-correct is named Otto Rong.🤪😂
