$1000 USD 1080P Gaming Build Help

Budget (including currency): $1000

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Apex Legends, Helldivers 2, DayZ, Battlefield, Minecraft, GTA V, I'd like to play even more games. I'd possible like to get into some minor video editing/OBS, as well as some SketchUp.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I need everything except for a monitor. I'm upgrading from a PS5, and have the monitor already. I need MnK, but nothing fancy. 1080P is my resolution, and I'd like to Max my 165hz Monitor on eSports titles (Apex Mostly).

I think that about covers it! I don't have a microcenter near me, unless it's really worth a 3 hour drive to Kansas. Otherwise, I'd like to stay at $1000, but can go over slightly.

Desktop: i7-5820K, SLI GTX 980 Ti, 16GB 2666MHz, H440

Laptop: Razer Blade 2015 QHD

Nice

Maybe a 7600XT will be better/as good as the 6750XT : same price, more VRAM, a bit more efficient, but a bit slower as well

I had something similar in my PCPP list already! Awesome. I am highly considering the R5 7500F for my CPU to save a little though.

The VRAM of the 7600 XT is essentially "useless" no? Because of the bandwidth? From everything I've saw it says to do the 7600 non-XT, or a previous Gen card.

Yeah, perfect, wasnt too sure of some aspects of the american market but  the 7500F would be perfect for your build, wasnt available on Pcpartpicker and idk if youre in  a position to be able to get one so i didnt include it, how much is it and i can see if theres a better GPU for you with the extra budget headroom

the 6750XT is slightly better than the 7600XT (iirc) so id go for that as it should be slightly cheaper and have plenty of VRAM for any future releases that might need it but there are better options if you can go for the 7500F as i said above

Currently on AliExpress its $140 with free shipping. So that leaves some room for sure.

From all of the benchmarks I've seen you're correct, the only thing I can think of the 7600 having an advantage on is AV1. Which I'm not even sure that I need? I want to play Apex tournaments, and would like to stream those so idk.

Also, is there anyway to make the build more white color schemed? I'm fine with painting a GPU Shroud, or even mobo covers.

Could possibly do slightly better but youre paying the white tax now but thats essentially entirely white bar the motherboard (but it is light grey/silver so almost there) and cpu cooler, but you can get a white peerless assassin with or without rgb for $35 in the future if you want better cooling and more white again.

The GPU is slightly better, barely, its generally a touch better but does trade blows with the 6750XT in some areas, though is completely white and will have AV1 encoding

EDIT: included cooler and changed out PSU for a cheaper model to bring costs down, case is a little more expensive but comes fully loaded with fans now, still over budget though 🫤

If you buy through aliexpress I don’t believe that it comes with a cooler

You also don’t seem to have fans in the case

wdyt of this, performance over looks. Knock it down to a 6800xy white for all white and replace the other stuff, though this will perform a lot better

Good to know, thanks for the cooler catch, and meant to add the 903 MAX not base so shold come with fans after the edit 😋

@TheDEFYANTonE edited my build above to include cooler and small changes detailed above

Also dont know if you can get the 6800XT in white OP, but if you can it should be the better price-performance GPU, also hence the 7700XT (no white 6000 series on PCPP)

Though is a little small, has less IO and PCIe slots and might look kinda dinky in an ATX case but personal preference

If his budget is exactly 1000$, he could buy used

Other than that looks good 🙂

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Lots of options to look through. My budget isn't exactly $1000, I can definitely push it some if the performance is warranted.

I actually have this picked out, and yes I know the GPU and RAM are overpriced, and that I don't need an AIO. But it sure would look pretty!

Consider this. All I changed was the cooler and changed it out for a white ssd

The peerless assassin is going to cool it better and, though I know you wanted an aio, looks sick af irl. It’s decently intimidating

I'm going to keep reading yalls comments, and I'll make a decision soon!

You absolutely do not NEED an AIO, but the one you chose is both very nice, one of the best priced AIOs on the market, and pretty decently performing.

7800XT is a very nice GPU, running one myself

System specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D [-30 PBO all core]

Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB 6000MHz CL32 DDR5

Storage: 2TB SN850X, 1TB SN850 w/ heatsink, 500GB P5 Plus (OS Storage)

Case: 5000D AIRFLOW

Cooler: Thermalright Frost Commander 140
