The Radoen HD 5750 worked in an old PC like a week ago. I don't know if i broke it in transport yesterday, but i know it worked beforehand. The weird thing is that it isn't detected at all, cus when I tried to boot with it I had the BIOS beeps that indicate a GPU is missing. Sadly the Mainboard can only do a BIOS update in the BIOS 😞

Hmmm, sounding more motherboard issue now, have you tried a full system reseat? As in reseat RAM, CPU, cables, GPU then CMOS reset and try again?

I did a fresh Windows install where everything went fine, after playing some time Windows wanted to do a lot of updates and some drivers that I missed. When I came back, only the fans were spinning. Since then the Debug LED VGA comes on at startup and only the fans start spinning.
I have already tried:
- Reseating GPU
- BIOS reset
- testing different GPU (Radeon HD 5750)
(With different GPU I get BIOS beeps 1x long 2x short , although it worked in another PC)
- tried different PSU (BeQuiet SP 6 550W)

Specs:
- Windows 11 Pro
- MSI b450m pro VDH v2
- Ryzen 5 2600
- 2x 8gb GSKILL AEGIS 3000mhz
- Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 8gb
- 250gb Crucial MX500 (Windows drive)
   1x M.2 1TB Crucial Mx500
2 HDDs and one SATA SSD
- BeQuiet Pure Power 12M 550W

What is a Radeon 5750g gpu??? Maybe you have this issue's because your trying to use your cpu as a graphics card! (im kidding im assuming you meant the integrated graphics of the amd 5750g)

Shouldn‘t I still be able to get into BIOS then? And what would be a fix for that?

Can you try anything that's not vga??? Maybe new drivers just dont like that vga

And god forbid the drivers went and told the gpu take all the power it wants and burnt something, but that is next to impossible if not actually impossible and I highly doubt it. Would only check on that as a last resort unless something starts smoking or you hear crackling or smell something burnt. Chances of this are like being able to hear color 😆

Look up synesthesia 😋

You'll find out some people can indeed hear colours

Though, rest assured, this shouldnt affect the usability of your gpu OP 😋

Do you have any CPUs that fit the AM4 socket with integrated graphics?

You dont seem to have a motherboard with multiple PCIe slots, it might be the motherboards PCIe slot that has broken or similar, though i doubt that

Not sure what else there is to try

I'm sorry I don't think I understand, could you elaborate?

I'm not really sure if the old GPU should work without problem since it is PCIE 2.0. But I don't have a ryzen with integrated graphics around to try that.

If my guess is right it seems to be a Mainboard issue or not? Is there anything else I can try?

May or may not be a motherboard issue if it was working fine beforehand. But cant really test that unless you have a known working GPU, if that doesnt work, then youll know its the motherboard, but if its a driver or BIOS issue then, well, im also not sure how youd test that

No sadly not 😞

But yes I only has 2 additional x1 slots So it sounds like I have to buy a new Mainboard?

The Radoen HD 5750 worked in an old PC like a week ago. I don't know if i broke it in transport yesterday, but i know it worked beforehand. The weird thing is that it isn't detected at all, cus when I tried to boot with it I had the BIOS beeps that indicate a GPU is missing. Sadly the Mainboard can only do a BIOS update in the BIOS 😞

VGA debug light, VGA=video graphics array or video graphics adapter, as in VGA light means GPU issue

Maybe try hdmi idk otherwise @TatamiMatt is right it's some kind of motherboard issue. Idk about your radeon 5750 not being detected at all that's weird really leads me to agreee with tatamimatt that it's a broken slot but idk how that wouldve happened.

I reseated everything except the CPU, when using the different PSU.

Was scared to reseat the CPU, because it has the stock cooler and I heard that it is really hard to remove with the stock thermal paste and I don't have additional thermal paste laying around.

Fair enough, i dont think itd help too much anyway so dont burn the thermal paste for no reason

so i guess new Mainboard it is. Do you know if a B550 would work with the 2nd Gen Ryzen? Wouldn't want to upgrade to ryzen 5000 yet.

You dont have a riser to test with? I doubt this would help tbh but could be worth a try if you have one floating about just

Also do you have a closeup image of both the pins on the GPU and the PCIe slot? Might be a bad pinout or slot

It should do, theyre both AM4

EDIT: nevermind im wrong, lemme do more googling

EDIT 2: From MSIs B550 tomahawk website; Supports AMD Ryzen™ 5000 & 3000 Series desktop processors (not compatible with AMD Ryzen™ 5 3400G & Ryzen™ 3 3200G) and AMD Ryzen™ 4000 G-Series desktop processors

EDIT 3: X570 boards seem to posses a compatible chipset with 2nd gen ryzen but idk if youd want to go that far in the purchasing dept

EDIT 4: B450 boards seem to posses the chipset for 2nd gen and 3rd gen and are able to support 5th gen with a BIOS update though you might need to buy a slightly higher tier for the better VRMs to support 5th Gen
