You can try the Windows 8 driver from their website.

But you won't be missing much if it doesn't work. It takes VGA resolution photos and sub-VGA video. You can pickup a 20 dollar webcam from Logitech that was released 10+ years ago and it'll still be better.

This camera works fine it's strange that someone threw a working camera into the garbage.

It's easier to throw things out than to put in the effort to find someplace that handles the respective waste properly. Basically all companies are culprit of this behavior.

It's not that bizarre. Have you ever upgraded anything and you don't want old "junk" cluttering your household?

Like the poster above mentioned, it's significantly worse than a modern $20 webcam.

Does this Trust WB-1400T camcorder also record sound or just video?

If I wanted to record an entire video conversation on Skype between two people along with the video and sound, or a video conference so that the video and sound included all people, is there a Skype plug-in for recording or do I need to configure some separate software, for example ApowerREC or Bandicam, or do I need some advanced software for this purpose? a program such as Camtasia Studio to record conversations into a video file?

Your Windows PC should've detected a microphone input from the WB-1400T if it's able to record audio.
