Ryzen 7 5700x3d or 5800x3d?

So what's best for me?

Use case - gaming

Paired whit - rx 6700 non xt

Current cpu - ryzen 5 3600

Mobo - b550m

Psu - 600w 80+

Ram - 32gb 3200mhz

What I have seen on YT- around 5% difference in performance, but paired whit much more powerful gpus.

Will I see that difference whit my gpu?

Price difference - 40 euros more for 5800x3d

Only pros I see currently if I buy 5700X3D - saving 40 euros for game or two

Tnx for help.

The 5800x3d should be slightly faster and will give more headroom when you eventually upgrade your GPU down the line

40 euros more

if that means extra 40euros towards a better cooler, then absolutely not worth spending extra 40eu on 5800X3D.

Huh ? Headroom for what ? It just clocks a bit higher, and has 5% better performance for 20% more money

I'd get the 5700X3D any day

5% more performance for 40euro is kind of a steal. People waste hundreds for over the top coolers and RGB.

depends, if budget is a real concern and has a hard cap, 40EUR can usually be better used elsewhere, say a good PSU instead of a crappy one, another TB of storage...

Very true.

Also there's a case where you are always GPU limited in gaming (playing SP games at over 2K) and then the additional clock/IPC/cache gets you nothing

I didn't swap my 5900X for a 5800X3D due to that

From my understanding, the games that benefit from the additional cache, the more the better. Seems to be mostly games with large open worlds and tons of assets. So my logic is if you want an x3d chip, may as well get the most you can. Either choice is valid depending on their budget.
