android screen recorder?

basically just wanna screen record, would be nice if i could also use the microphone if i wanna do a live voiceover

 

no not for games as my phones are too shit to play any games i actually wanna play like minecraft, just trading sessions since im finally starting to use real money so i can learn from any dumb mistakes i make and actually buy said phone that can play said games i wanna play =p

 

its been like half a decade since i last screen recorded (i feel old knowing 2019 was 5 years ago) so forgot what i was using and wanna know if there are any better options than whatever i used to use

What Android version are you on? Newer versions of Android (at least 13 does, I forget when it was introduced) should just have this built into the quick settings with no need for external tools.

and god damn how was 2018 6 years ago? im really starting to regret my life choices in elementary now that im in this state

 

but oh well im just gonna have to fix myself and the finances and heres a part of that process so i can finally move on from my past

If you have USB debugging enabled, you can do something like

adb shell screenrecord /storage/emulated/0/Download/recording.mp4

Otherwise "scrcpy" is a nice tool to show the phone on your desktop, where you could use other tools to record the output

kinda lazy to use a laptop

 

maybe if theres a noticable improvement over just downloading an app but i think id rather stick with everything on the phone, besides its not gameplay footage and my audio just needs to be decent enough for any (live) voiceovers to be legible

 

think illl try some apps but id also like to know what others reccomend incase theres a good one i might have missed

are you sure it doesn't have screen recording?  i didn't have a phone that didn't since like 2012...

can't really recommend an app therefore,  mines just called screen record and just a feature of the phone,  dont think it could even be uninstalled,  not sure.

recommend some digging,  it has to have it! Samsung cant be that behind the times (in 2018)

As others said, check first if you have one already.

My s10e have it, and the phone was released at 2019.

oh well itll make for decent content and some learning till i get a strat that works and doesnt just blow the god damn thing in a matter of minutes cause im being an impulsive idiot and panic buying positions in an attempt to hedge or not checking the freaking resistances/supports and holding/buying positions where i shouldnt be in this case the latter
