New OLED owner looking for screensaver

Chris Fortune

Since buying my monitor a few weeks ago I have been absolutely loving it but am obviously concerned about the potential for burn in. To try and moderate my concern I would want to go back to the god old method of having a screen saver running when the PC is at idle but have not found anything that truly impresses. So looking for suggestions and ideas, the best I have so far is called Hyperspace and whilst looking very pretty it does not rotate through t he full spectrum being predominantly blue/green with only a little red in there.

I am willing to spend a little money but would obviously prefer free options 馃檪

If you really want it saved the best is to simply have it not display anything i.e. go into standby.

I set my OLED laptop to a random slideshow starting after 1min and screen off after 5.

I've got mine to loop that colour wave on a black background from built in windows screensaver after a minute as well and off to black if more than 5. Why does it matter what image your monitor shows when you're not looking at it?

Screensavers also cause your pixels to wear out, which is how burn-in accumulates. Just set the display to go to sleep after 10 minutes or so.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
