Alternative 4k monitor to 1440p Alienware AW3423DW 34"

M25Ops

I'm currently using a an Alienware AW3423DW 34" ultrawide QD-OLED. But as I'm getting older I find I just don't game as much as I used to, I play GW2 sometimes, maybe Fallout 4, etc. But I most like watch streaming, run emulators, or browse. Hell, alot of games, especially emulation don't use ultrawide properly. I'm currently also running a 5800x on a 5800XT.

So even if I wanted to pick up some light gaming later, I could run most new games at 4k, maybe not 60fps, but most definately atleast 30+ as long as I don't crank the visuals to very high or ultra. Worst case I can just render at  1440p.

So I was thinking of getting a nice 4k monitor, but I don't want just a low end one, I want someone that CAN game if needed, mostly like I said emulators, MMOs, and single player games. I can probably sell my current monitor for a decent amount.

The only thing I'm worried/wondering about would be going from a QD-OLED to an IPS, since most 4k monitors are IPS unless it gets really expensive.

If you want basically the same experience, but in a 4K 16:9 format, then you can go for one of these:

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
