What should I buy to cool the 7900x?

So Im starting to buy things from my PC part picker but I do not know if the cooler I have right now will work on the my cpu. I was going to buy the 7900x but I thought to myself, if that doesn’t work I’ll buy a lower priced cpu like the 7800X3D.

should I water cool it ? If so what should I buy? 
is the cooler I bought good enough? Or should I buy another one.

The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE is more than plenty for the 7800X3D AND the 7900x  
Absolutely no issues.

If you only plan to game then the 7800X3D is the best CPU you can get right now.

No Problem   I run a NH-D15 at a constant 24% fanspeed on my overclocked 7700x and its well within safe temperatures even during heavy gaming.

The 7800X3D is only 20w more than a stock 7700x.  A  dual tower Peerless Assassin SE 120 will do the job very well for both Even the 7900x.
