Trying to use 7.1 speakers with two pc's

Momenaut

I have a rather diy 7.1 setup using a 5.1 system + 2.1 system for the side speakers (both logitech) and I want to plug them into the soundcards on both of my pc's. How do I do this?

Thanks

Do both of your PCs have digital audio outputs (SPDIF, TOSLINK, optical, etc)?

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

I think your best bet is to get a TOSLINK/SPDIF/etc switch, then a digital to analog converter so you can send each channel to the appropriate speaker.

(SPDIF, optical audio, TOSLINK, etc all refer to the same basic standard.)
