Can't install Win10 on Dell optiplex

Dabonthehaters_tm

Hi so I'm trying to install win 10 on a Dell optiplex 990, pressing f12 puts me in the one time boot menu, showing me two options that would read off the USB stick with a windows 10 iso on. One of the options would show the windows logo and the classic windows loading circle, and then just go black. The other would do the same except for end with a black screen, would show a never ending lasting loading circle thingy.

USB stick used: SanDisk Extreme 3.0 64gb

Did you make the ISO using the Windows media creation tool or Rufus? I think it could be a firmware mismatch.

Microsoft owns my soul.

Also, Dell is evil, but HP kinda nice.

Are you sure your Dell Optiplex like works correctly? If so, then re-flash the ISO on the pen drive.

It boots fine with the original hdd, but I wanted a SSD to speed it up a bit. Reflashing my pen drive does not work

Perhaps try flashing the ISO through rufus. Make sure to set the correct firmware target.
