Planned PC build for this summer

Budget (including currency): $2000 USD (but okay with going a little overboard)

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly Fortnite and Overwatch, but also with some Blender animation work

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GV2KMV

It's not included, but I also plan on getting the Wooting 80HE when that comes out

I plan on getting all this in maybe June or July this year when I can try and get a job once school's out. I mainly want to play at 1080p 165~ FPS with decent settings, but later down the line I might get a 1440p monitor with a lower refresh rate purely for single player games at high settings.

I'm currently stuck on an HP Pavilion my dad bought in I think 2017, but it can't really run games very well so I only really play old games like Team Fortress 2 or just use my Switch.

The main thing I'm considering changing in my build is the AIO cooler. I choose the NZXT Kraken mainly because it's nice looking but I do plan on eventually upgrading this build to have a 7800x3d as the CPU later down the line, although until then I'll take a cheaper, nice looking cooler if possible

Wait until it's closer to buying time. Between now and summer prices will be drastically different.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

This, planning in advance is entirely pointless since the whole environment will have changed by the time you're ready to buy.

Much of the advice anyone could give you now will be useless by Friday, let alone the summer, because of price changes and product terminations and releases. If you buy in the summer, something you spec today, you'll just get an awful deal.

That said, there is some advice I can give you that will probably hold until summer:

A AIO is complete overkill for a 7600, especially a 360mm one. The stock cooler the 7600 is easily good enough. With AMD, you don't need much CPU cooling. The 7800 class chips only needs a good air cooler, and at most you only really want a 240mm rad for the hottest chips in the 7000 series. Also, 360mm rads arn't really better than 240mm rads because the limiting factor is the cold plate, not the size of the radiator.

Also, don't buy windows at full price and avoid OEM licenses (unless cheap) as they can't be transfered to new computers.

I might be experienced, but I'm human and I do make mistakes. Expand for common PC building advice, a short bio and a list of my components and other tech. I edit my messages after sending them alot, please refresh before posting your reply. Please try to be clear and specific, you'll get a better answer. Please remember to mark solutions once you have the information you need.

Common build advice: 1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticably improve performance past 240mm.

I'm a PhD student working in the fields of reinforcement learning and traffic control. PCs are one of my hobbies and I've built many PCs and performed upgrades on a few laptops (for myself, friends and family). My personal computers include 3 windows (10/11) machines and a TrueNAS server (and I'm looking to move to dual booting Linux Mint on my main machine in future). While I believe I have an decent amount of experience in spec’ing, building and troubleshooting computers, keep in mind I'm not an expert or a professional and I make mistakes.

Hello... When you do Build your PC I would try and go for these Parts, The CPU Cooler that I picked is an Air Cooler and it is pretty much the best one you can have. It will even Cool the 7800X3D easily. Take a look and let me know what you think.
