Looking for a Uni Laptop, any recommendations

Just Looking for a uni laptop for my partner, heres a list of what we're looking for:

•  Touchscreen
• Doesnt require a dGPU
• 16GB RAM
• Under £950
• Not a large screen, something smaller preferably

Coming to the LTT gang as i cant trust any of the lists online and amazon feels like a tyre fire

I did like the Acer Spin 5 (not Aspire and not Chromebook). Light, convertible, compact, stylus...

But I doubt you'll find one at a good price (don't buy an older one)

Why a touchscreen…

 

If that’s not a dealbreaker you can get a M1 Pro 14” MacBook for under a grand used and nothing else will touch it value wise

Have a look at the current/previous gen Galaxy Book Pro 360

 

Idk about pricing or availability in the UK

 

An alternate approach could be an iPad or Windows/Android tablet with keyboard cover

 

Keep in mind any specific applications and connectivity options (file transfer, ports) that your partner may need to use. Will there be any online collaborative work?

 

Should you compromise on functional requirements? Should you compromise on education?

You probably dont actually need a touchscreen.  

Feel free to email your school/professor and ask them about the requirements.
