They are almost the a=same price, I can not decide, should I pick one over the other.

P/S if someone has one of theese and beamngplease test them at 4k maxed out so I can choose.

3080 12GB or 10GB? I'm assuming both are used since new that would put them close to an RX 7800 XT.

If you're playing 4K, depending on the game, 10GB or 12GB isn't enough, 16GB is pushing it, but you'd be better off with the RX 6800 XT in that case. Excluding AAA games, all 3 could do 4K perfectly fine, but including AAA games, none can do it really. That's where the 7900 XT/XTX, 4080S, and 4090 shine, really just the 4090.

I know 12GB at 4k is a problem but I think he's pretty safe on 16GB.

That being said i don't really think either the 3080 or 6800XT has the legs for 4k really.

I wouldn't want anything less than a 7900XT or 4070Ti Super but even then I would prefer your 4090....you should give it to me for free so I can test it out and confirm my hypothesis 😆

Or the 3080 if it is less expensive (Because I find the founder edition to look good)

Hopefully not the 10GB version.

I ran into problems with 16GB in specific titles, usually with DX12 when I had a 6900 XT before my RTX 4090. Games that were genuinely exceeding 16GB of VRAM on maximum textures, the problematic ones requiring dialing down textures to not get single digit framerates.

I thought about selling my RTX 4090 since they're worth as much if not more now than when I got it on release day, but then I'd have to downgrade to a 7900 XT or something. I'd come to love the RTX features for resolution scaling and so far the new HDR feature has worked nicely. I have a feeling the RTX 4090 is the new GTX 1080ti, if you can get it at MSRP.
