Questions:

- Does brand of M.2 matter?

- Do I need more than 1 TB of storage?

- Which case is better?

You don't really need an AIO for Ryzen 5600, in fact it has it's own stock cooler

And if you want a better CPU cooler, a cheap tower style is more than enough to tame Ryzen 5600

And for this CPU, you don't really need X570 motherboard unless you have a really extreme/specific use of PCI lanes for your rig

I'm not sure on why you have 2 PC cases, maybe for comparing? (NZXT H5 and Phanteks Eclipse G300A)

For storage you can keep on 1TB and add another NVME if you want, but for this case I will make the 2TB since it's worth TB/$ than just a single stick of 1TB NVME

For GPU, since it's a light gaming, you can get better performance for better price with RX 7600, unless you have specific use case such as Ray Tracing or app outside of gaming that requires specific AI work

Cases, DeepCool CC560 is a good plastic frame with tons of fans already installed, which means you don't have the hassle for installing and purchase additional fans for your build

For PSU, you can go lower for your use case, but I'm the guy that prefer higher capacity PSU for "just in case", so I keep stick to Corsair RM850e unless you want to go lower

Total cost is $865

I like this config better for the most part. That being said, Id have to disagree with the choice of the GPU. the 7600 will be fine for today but at 8GB an upgrade will be needed sooner rather than later. 12GB on the 3060 is the better buy in my book.

Technology is like a good friend that does its best to piss you off at every turn. yet we love them anyway.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
