Dilemma

Hi.

I currently have a dilemma, I can either only buy a new GPU and if decide to that I will get around a 40% bottleneck or I can buy a new CPU as well which means I get a 10-15% bottleneck but for double the price.

So my question is. Is it worth spending more money only to get lower bottleneck?

People worry about "bottlenecks" too much.

 

If you get a GPU that's "too fast" for your current CPU, it won't hold you back when you upgrade your CPU later.

 

Get the GPU.

Don't think in bottleneck that is a bad way to purchase technology. What is your budget?

 

What resolution and refresh rate do you play on? What are your current parts? What FPS do you currently get? What games do you play on mostly?

yall think to hard, get the GPU now if your PSU supports it, ignore literally everything else. you can upgrade the CPU/platform later and carry the GPU forward.
