Decent dac/amp + correctly placed crappy speaker = good sound

Sony PHA-3 + Logitech Z313 (2.1) / Sony MDR-Z7

 

I mainly use the headphones but don’t want to always wear them. So a compact and cheap speaker set will suffice. The sound is nowhere near the Z7 for sure, but is actually quite decent.

Velcro tape for easy adjustment 😉.

Line out/headphone selector switch is convenient.

Frequency swept and eliminated any rattles with some rags underneath.

The amp will overheat under 23C room temp and shutdown without that heatsink.
