Should i always keep my GPU drivers up to date?

Hi everyone,

I'm having issues with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. Game freezes occasionally for 1 or 2 seconds (you can still hear sounds coming from inside the game). I'm trying al sorts of solutions but no luck yet.

Is it always recommended  to update nvidia drivers every time a new version comes out. A lot of times you can see people complaining something bad is happening after the update. What's the best policies on this?

If you have the latest generation, you should always do that as those cards get the best of newer drivers. I personally upgrade my 3070 drivers every other month.

The general consensus is to always update and if you have a problem in a specific game then roll back to a previous driver and wait till the next one is available.

CPU : Ryzen 7 7800X3D @ -18mv all core except -13mv on Core 5 because its a pig.

Case Fans : Arctic p12's everywhere i can fit them in , 7 In total.

Monitor : LG 27GP850-B.BEK 1440p Nano IPS 180Hz

Keyboard : HyperX Alloy Core RGB

Mouse : Corsair M65 Elite RGB

Headset : Corsair HS35 Gaming Headset

i dont think it'll fix your issue but you don't have to update gpu drivers if you dont want to. heck mine are still from 2011

I read the patch notes and if there's nothing I need I stay behind. I let you be the beta testers.
A long time ago during the 600 series nvidia released a driver that reportedly caused damage to cards and artifacting.

CPU: Ryzen 2600 GPU: RX 6800 RAM: ddr4 3000Mhz 4x8GB  MOBO: MSI B450-A PRO Display: 4k120hz with freesync premium.
