Hey everyone,

I'm trying to pick between three GPUs: the RTX 3060, RTX 3060 Ti, and Intel Arc 770 as these goes within my budget and available in my country also rx6600 is available but less performance and similar price . I want to use my system for both gaming and stuff like DaVinci Resolve and Blender. Should I care more about VRAM or better performance? Any thoughts or experiences with these cards in gaming and content creation? Would love your input!

Honestly, all those options suck.

The RTX 3060 (even if it is the 12GB version) and Arc A770 (even the 16GB version) dosn't have the performance for even this price bracket. And the RTX 3060 TI dosn't have the Vram.

Are you building a whole system, or buying a new GPU for an old system?

What country are you buying in?

What is the budget?

If you can't increase the budget and your only look to buy a GPU, you should probably look on the used market for a RX 6700 XT.

As far as I know Intel and AMD lacks the Blender performance that NVIDIA has so pick NVIDIA. Both 3060's performance will gradually become less and less relevant, however the falloff for the lower VRAM model will happen earlier.

I'd say this advise only makes sense if your using blender alot.

Like if the Nvidia card is only gonna save you 3 minutes a week, it probably isn't worth it. You could always just go and make a cpu of tea while the render is running 🙂.

That as well, OP hasn't mentioned if they need it in a professional setting where seconds = $$$ or just a hobby. If it's a hobby get the cheaper one most time and whilst rendering either make some tea or fold the shirts sitting on your bed that you haven't for a week. (you just said that oops)

I really don't like it. A 13400F is expensive, as is the DDR5 memory. That leaves no budget for the GPU.

Budget?

Existing parts/build?

Are you using davinci and blender for work or just a hobby? And how often do you use em?

All options are pretty shit if you are buying new cause you shouldnt be buying last gen new (overpriced compared to used market and current gen new gpus)

Look for gpus on the used market, maybe fb marketplace or a local eshop app you may have over there

4060 is available here but way expensive compares to 3060 and closer or  more expensive than 3060ti for some brands. But benchmarks and reviewer says it doesn’t have that upperhand from the last gen!

I am just a beginner in the learning phase and I am not comfortable with used cause it will cost like 10-18% less but with no warranty if it died then whole money goes to waste!
