At a loss for how to fix games that are crashing to desktop (Microsoft was no help)

I recently upgraded my PC from intel to AMD and DDR5 Motherboard and ram. Running games is no problem until around 10-5minutes of playtime where it crashes and boots me to desktop often with no error.

I have retrieved these crash reports from my system:

Any help would be amazing and I will forever be in your debt.

PS: All drivers are up to date and windows was freshly installed on this system. GPU is a 2060 6gb NVIDIA card

You say you upgraded - did you wipe your drive and reinstall Windows? If not, that's the first thing to do.

Yes I formatted and erased all my drives after moving my personal files into OneDrive. The Pc is great just except for gaming, just crashes as I said.

  1. Update all the things.
  2. You can start with the UEFI
  3. Then do all the drivers, including chipset drivers (sorry, I don't trust your OP 😆)

Lol its cool, I'm just stumped because I've never had this issue before. I can send my full error list too if that's of any use.

Already did that yesterday

  1. Turn off EXPO for the RAM.
  2. What kit(s) of RAM do you have installed? (exact model number please)

It may not be enabled, but you would check the UEFI (BIOS) settings.

Spoiler

Makes sense! (Your OP shows your RAM @ 4800 MHz), but wanted to double-check.

So, to summarize let's see if I've got this right:

✅ Fresh install of Windows

✅ All drivers and UEFI up-to-date

✅ No overclocking enabled (including EXPO)

❌ System crashes when running 3D applications

Yep that would be correct 👍 so take off the auto setting and set it to 32000 MHz?!

  • You could definitely try that just to see what happens might point us to which component is causing the crashing
  • Do you have anything in this folder?
    %SystemRoot%\Minidump\
  • What make/model of system disk are you using?

  • Where are the games installed that are having issues? Are they on the 1TB HDD? If so, did you re-install them all after the system updgrade?
  • You would need to copy and paste %SystemRoot%\Minidump\ into the File Explorer address bar to check and see if it exists

Um new issue, I set my DRAM from auto to 10k really quick but now I'm just seeing a black screen with no splash of anything on the display.

You mean 1K Mhz? You can clear the CMOS on your motherboard and it should boot right back up

Heres my dump files

YEAAAAAASSSSSS. Plz edit your OP and upload it to the post. Also, while you're at it, add a spoiler (the Eye icon) around your image of your system info so it makes your post more readable.

(You may need to copy the file to somewhere else before uploading, since it is stored in a protected part of the drive.)

  1. Waiting on the answer to this ^^
  2. In addition, is your UEFI set to RAID or AHCI for the SATA controller?
  3. If you disconnect the 1TB HDD, do you still have crashes?
  4. What are your CPU temps?
