Windows 8 gets better performance in games but its more buggy.

I have personally never had problems with Windows 8 while gaming but some people say that its unstable and games crash all the time.

I would get Windows 8

Windows 8.1 Pro. It performs better in some situations, but if you have used it and absolutely hate it, Windows 7 is by no means a bad choice.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-5820K, Corsair H115i, Asus X99-Deluxe/USB 3.1, G.Skill Ripjaws4 32GB 2800MHz CL16, Zotac RTX 3070, Samsung 950 Pro 512GB in Angelbird Wings PX1, Samsung 850 EVO 1TB, 5*Seagate 12TB, Cooler Master V1200, Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, Windows 10 Pro. Phillips 328P6VUBREB, Corsair Vengeance K95 RGB Cherry MX Brown, Logitech G502 X Plus, Sennheiser HD700.

AYANEO 2S: AMD 7800U, 32GB 7500MHz, 2TB WD SN850X. Windows 11.

guys just finished making my new pc which os i should install for gaming?

win 7 ultimate or win 8.1 enterprise, pro?

please tell reasons why?

windows 7, better compatability with older games with less tweaking, more mods for customization available at this moment, a better looking startup screen and less bugs. Those saying the performance is better on windows 8 play very specific titles that do have small increases in performance, the majority of games perform slower, especially on low end hardware. (NFS rivals being an example)

1) I played Enclave, NFSU2, CoD 1 and more on win 8.1
2) By this logic WinXP is even better because it was out for longer
3) really?
4) haven't noticed
5) Works both ways, and please give us some respectable titles.
5a) Listen to the video dont just look at charts
5b)
