My Microphone is identified as a speaker in my laptop.

so my yenkee YMC 1020GY microphone is identifying as a speaker in my laptop. Can anyone help?

Looks like it has a 1/8" TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve) connector. Where do you have it plugged in? Is it a microphone jack, or a combo jack?

 

If your laptop has a combination headset connector, which puts stereo audio and a microphone on one 1/8" TRRS (Tip Ring Ring Sleeve) connector, you might need a breakout adapter that can give you separate mic and headphone ports.
