Nice video, I didn't realize the cooling on the DCU2 was so poor in comparison to alternatives.

DCU2 is only really good for Nvidia.

MSI is much better and quieter. And better looking.

Asus has too big cooling area on "direct contact". Its meant for bigger nvidia chip.

WOOOOW You're my saviour, exactly what I needed. Thank you! I'm really in doubt between buying a tri-x and a dcuII. I was going to get the DCUII later this week because it looks more sexy, its around 10% cheaper here and it fits my color-scheme better....  But now when I know all the rumours are correct I think I'll get the tri-x...

So when I can choose between the ASUS, Powercolor and Sapphire tri-x card with the asus being 10% cheaper and the tri-x and powercolor thesame price. What card should I get, I'm doing a red and black (yes very standard) built and I'm planning to crossfire them. Will it cause cooling problems because there is so little space in between them?

Right now the top 2 R9 290's that I have tested is the PCS+ from powercolor and the Tri-x from sapphire, however, if size is an issue you may want to go with the tri-x as the PCS+ is massive.
